Maccabi Victoria and the Maccabi Victoria Sports Foundation is thrilled at the outcome of its 2017 Annual Appeal, raising a total of nearly $400,000.

Victorian Athlete Jemima Montag to carry Maccabi Australia flag at Maccabiah Games

At the recent 20th Anniversary Maccabiah Bridge Commemoration and 2017 Maccabiah Team farewell in Melbourne, it was announced that talented 19-year-old track and field athlete Jemima Montag will carry the Maccabi Australia flag into Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem at the Maccabiah Games Opening ceremony

Susan Alberti AC Inspires Standing Ovation at the 10th Anniversary Friends Of Maccabi Luncheon

It was a privilege to hear one of Australia's most inspiring women and an absolute trail blazer in business, medical research, philanthropy and women's football, Dr Susan Alberti AC as the Special Guest Speaker at the 10th Anniversary luncheon held on Monday 29 May.

Susan’s engaging presentation brought on goosebumps and tears to many ahead of a ‘first-time ever’ standing ovation

Alexandra Kiroi tops Jewish medal haul at nationals

EIGHT Jewish athletes competed in the final week of the Australian Gymnastics Championships, including three rhythmic gymnasts who helped earn their state of Victoria at least one medal.

The standout performer was 15-year-old Victorian Alexandra Kiroi in the junior international division.

Calling for Youth Leaders for the 2018 Melbourne Maccabi Junior Carnival

We are so excited to be recruiting for the 2018 Maccabi Carnival, which will be in Melbourne from 14-21 January, 2018. Maccabi has taken on feedback, and is really working to change things up this year. The changes mean even greater involvement by the Youth Leaders, and even more fun.

If you are aged between 18-26, then Maccabi Australia would like to know more about you, and the reasons why you wish to apply to be a part of our team.

The AGM for Maccabi Ajax Lawn Bowls will be held on Sunday 18th June at 10.30am at Caulfield Park Sports Club & we would like all members to attend.



Hockey Club Update

A big week for the under 14s this week as they beat Yarra Valley 4 - 0 and with that win went straight to the top of the ladder.

Under 16s with a bye are still on top of the ladder.

Vets lost  1-2 

Training is on this Wednesday and the following Wednesday with no games over the long weekend.


Epic Win For AJAX and 2 Jackettes Selected for Big V

A spirited team effort and a vintage five-goal haul from David Fayman helped the Jackas to a season-defining, come-from-behind victory over former premier side St Bernards at Gary Smorgon Oval on Saturday.

The first-ever Women’s Big V squad has been released ahead of the VAFA’s July 9 clash against AFL Goldfields in North Ballarat and two Jackettes have been selected in a 61-player squad.

Winter has hit and with that has come some hot footy. Our U8s, U9s and U10s have had some exciting games with some impressive performances. The U11 Comets’ season keeps rolling on, the U12 Comets had their first win in the highly competitive top division, the U14 Jets got the job done, and our U17 Comets had a huge win. This week’s player profile is of U13 Comets player, and part time comedian, Remy Spicer.

Warriors had a tough game recently against Collingwood with a great result

Down 3 at 1/4time , Down 6 at 1/2 time, Down 11 at 3/4 time

Then the boys OUTSCORED Collingwood 30-9 in the last  quarter to WIN by 10 !!!!

In the following game Maccabi Youth League Warriors went down by just 3 points to Westernport in a game with 12 lead changes & tied 8 times.

A week off and then four games left in which to secure a finals spot.
