A Dream Come True For Michael Klinger

MICHAEL Klinger has lived out his boyhood dream for the past week after representing Australia in the three-game Twenty20 international series against Sri Lanka.

Andrew took on this iconic 20km swim from Cottesloe Beach in Perth to Rottnest island as a solo swimmer.

Congratulations to Maccabi Young Guns Cyclist Jai Kanat

A big congratulations to one of our Maccabi Young Gun's Jai Kanat for winning the St Kilda B Grade Racing Crits on the weekend. We are all very proud to have Jai race for the Maccabi Cycling Club and send our congratulations to him and his family.

Brilliant effort and hopefully we will see some more Maccabi Young Guns racing soon!

Ajax Maccabi Water Polo Ready to Start a New Season

Ajax Maccabi Water Polo Club pre-season training commenced on Monday 27 February. We have places open in our newly promoted State League 6 and State League 3 men’s teams. All are welcome to come to training to try out.

We train on Monday nights at Korowa Girls School in Glen Iris from 7:30pm.

Maccabi Toastmasters Triumphs

At the Toastmasters Division contests on Sunday February 26th,  Harry Szmerling  won 1st place in the Table Topics (improvised speech) contest and in the Evaluation contest, while Tamara Kowarsky won 1st place in the Humorous Speech contest. Both are members of Maccabi Toastmasters, and to compete on Sunday, they had to win first place both at club level and at area level. Harry and Tamara will now go on to compete in the District Finals in May – the highest level for these contests.

Three Maccabi Tennis Teams in Summer Finals

Maccabi Tennis Club will have three representatives in the finals of the 2015/16 Bayside Regional Tennis Association (BRTA) Summer competition.

Junior Soccer Skills Development Program (SDP) moves to a "billiard table" surface

NCMJFC is very fortunate to have secured an excellent training facility for the SDP kids.

The SDP training is designed to improve the individual skills of young players and they need a “billiard table” surface to be able to get the best out of it.

2017 Victorian Jewish Golf Championships

Under clear skies, a warm day, an immaculately prepared golf course and with an incredible 120 participants, including 18 women, the 2017 Victorian Jewish Golf Championships were held  at the Cranbourne Golf Club.

2017 BMW Maccabi National Golf Cup

February 1st saw the launch of the 2017 BMW Maccabi Cup. This unique competition allows Jewish golfers from all over Australia to compete in one National event. First launched in 2016 over 400 golfers took part and for 2017 we have some great new innovations so please click the arrow and take the time to read the following.

North v. South - Jewish-Muslim Comedy Debate 2017 by JCCV and ICV

In this second ever Jewish - Muslim Comedy Debate, our very clever and esteemed panellists will debate (with tongues firmly in cheek) that "North of the River is Better than South of the River". The very witty and often cheeky Father Bob will be moderator on the night and panellists include the very talented Mo Elleissy, Steve Bedwell, Michael Shafar, Justine Sless, Louise Baring and Rana Hussain.

The evening is hosted by the Jewish Community Council of Victoria (JCCV) and the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV), and proudly supported by the State Government of Victoria and the City of Melbourne.

March 20 at the Melbourne Town Hall

Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Bourke Street Fund for victims of the Bourke Street tragedy.
