AROUND THE CLUBS

TENNIS CLUB ROUND 7 SUMMER PENNANT RESULTS

This weekend's results are an important reminder of how important it is to play as a team and support each other.  Many results were desperately close - our women's team won by a solitary game, whereas Section 7 lost by the same margin, for the third time this season!  Playing for Maccabi is all about teamwork and encouraging each other - which can make the difference when a match is finely balanced.

Around the Community

The Jewish Museum of Australia is proud to present its next major temporary exhibition. The exhibition, which is aptly titled One man in his time – a reference to Shakespeare’s famous ‘ all the world’s a stage’ monologue, is a celebration of finite life and a contemplation of infinite loss.

Hedy Ritterman has ‘unpacked’ her late husband Henry’s life through the display of these everyday things – some might call them ‘ready-mades’ or items that represent key life cycle stages, from childhood through to adulthood.

HENRY RITTERMAN was a longstanding member of the AJAX Football Club, attended senior carnivals and Maccabiah, and the exhibition includes quite a bit of his Maccabi memorabilia.
