Perth Junior Carnival Registrations Closing Soon and Reminder for Uniform Try-On and Collection


Junior Carnival Uniforms are available to try on and collect from the Maccabi Victoria Office on Thursday afternoons between 1pm and 4.30 pm.

Level1 / 176 Bambra Road, Caulfield South

Please call the office 9563 5885 for any queries

Please note that this is the same uniform as Team VIC participants wore at Junior Carnival in Sydney 2016 and Melbourne 2015. All participant travelling on team flights will need a Team VIC travel tee which is included in all flight packages.

New Weightlifting Champion Follows in Footsteps of His Father - Hall Of Fame Member Ivan Katz

A NEW champion was crowned when Daniel Katz won the Australian National Weightlifting Championships for competitors under 77 kilograms in Brisbane late last month.

The 26-year-old followed in the footsteps of his father, coach and Maccabi Hall of Fame member Ivan Katz, who throughout his career won several national championships, was a silver medallist at the Commonwealth Games and a gold medallist at the Maccabiah Games.

2016 Maccabi National MS Swimathon and 2016-17 Open Water Series

The 12 hour MS Maccabi National Swimathon is a fun team event raising money for people living with Multiple Sclerosis and for Maccabi events including the Maccabiah Games in Israel.
Take up the challenge, join in and be part of a unique event – the only Swimathon Team Relay to be run nationally!

The Kleid Gordon Golf Event Re-scheduled for Tuesday November 8th

The Kleid Gordon scheduled for September 13th was unfortunately a wash out. We have re-scheduled the event for Tuesday November 8th. If you were entered to play on the original date you have been automatically entered for the new date. You don't need to do anything. If you were booked and paid to play and are unable to play November 8th please email golf@macvic.com.au and we will arrange a full refund.

In blustery conditions, only one of six Maccabi teams (Section 4) were able to win, while Joel Rabinov's Section 7 team had a bye.  There was also an exciting tie for our Section 9 team, led by Miguel Donnenfeld.

Australian Sports Commission's '10-week series of tips for Parents'

The Australian Sports Commission has just released their 10-week series of tips for parents.  These tips provide some advice on how to help kids engage and develop through sport.  The podcasts will be published on the ASC’s Play.Sport.Australia. Facebook page every Thursday for ten weeks.

Each podcast runs for about 10 minutes and features AIS Athlete Pathways Manager, Dr Juanita Weissensteiner whose research triggered the development of these tips for parents. Coaches and sporting clubs may also be keen to engage on this content as well.
