Maccabi WA Awards 2015

Maccabi WA had the 2015 Annual Sportsman Awards. President of MAI Barry Smorgon flew in for the celebration. Congratulations to all the award winners.

Joe Rosen Most Outstanding Performance by an individual playing for Maccabi WA (Junior) - Tal Ram Basketball
Tal was selected to represent the U14 Australian basketball team in the JCC games. He has also received the WA Maccabi MVP U 14 award; best blocking guard by the Perth Red Backs in the West Australian Basketball league and MVP for the U14 basketball team at Woodvale senior College.

Joe Rosen Most Outstanding Performance by a Team playing for Maccabi WA (Junior) - U12 Boys Basketball
The following boys played in Warwick Basketball competition under 12s summer 2014 division: Adam Shainfeld Michael Bricker Rafi Cowan,Seth Charsinsky Alon Tucker Avi Kotkis, Warren Kezurer. The boys finished top of the ladder and were the grand final winners.

Maurie Krasenstein Junior Sportsperson of the year award presented by Peter Krasenstein- Dean Kezurer
Dean was chosen as part of the West Australian State football team to compete in the national championships in Coffs Harbour where the came 2nd. Dean has also been chosen to play for Perth Glory juniors U16 for the upcoming season.
and Jacob Range
Jake played in the top National Premier League with Perth Glory Juniors in 2015. He has continued as the state goalkeeper for WA in his age group in 2014 and 2015. He has also been invited to the Australian Institute in Canberra for goalkeepers camp with the best 6 soccer goalkeepers in his age group in Australia.

Ethel Finkelstein Rising Star Award - Jonty Pearson
Jonty has excelled as an U12 soccer and futsal player. In 2015 he represented WA state school boys at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide; Captained WA indoor futsal U12's team where he represented WA at the national championships; and represented Football West in Tasmania. He has also been selected for the past three years for Perth Glory NPL.

Justin Sandler Memorial Awards for Junior Carnival 2016 for participation, good sportsmanship and fair play Tal Koff and Rachel Paletz

Joe Rosen Most Outstanding Performance by an individual playing for Maccabi WA (Senior)- Russell Stein - table tennis
Russell has once again had an excellent year and represented Australia in the Mens team over 50's at the south east Asian veteran table tennis championships. He won the silver medal in Australian over 50th men's doubles, Silver medal in the Australian team championships - representing WA, Gold medal in men's singles over 30's, Silver medal mens singles over 40's and Team gold medal and state champion A grade pennants for Maccabi Table tennis club
