Posted: 17-Apr-2013 by Maccabi WA

Maccabi WA is very  fortunate that Argentinian Dr, Miguel Kabilio  has decided to make his home in Perth. Miguel joined the Maccabi WA Executive this year and has a long background related with sport. He played  professional soccer and amateur rugby union in his youth and is currently an ironman triathlete competing around Australia and the world at a semi-profesional level.

After being busy with medical school Miguel got involved with sports medicine management - managing the medical services at different International events;  XII Pan American Games, IV American Athletics Championship, FIBA Under 21 Basketball Championship, XII Para-Pan American Games, Cyclist World Cup, and the Women Hockey Championship Trophy.

Miguel also conducted  drug assessments in International and Argentinean championships and until 2011 was the Doctor of the Argentinean teams of Cycling and Roller Skating Racing.

Miguel is passionate about Maccabi and sport and wants to share his passion for cycling with the Maccabi WA community. Along with Past President Jeremy Raiter, they have instigated the inaugural ride on ANZAC day.

The cycling group will start at 10.00am with a one hour ride starting and finishing at Maccabi  Grounds with a friendly social coffee at the end. This ride is directed at all levels and riders will be grouped according to ability. It will be an easy ride with the intention of establishing the club and having fun. The age limit is 12 years old. Under 12 have to ride with their parents. Any type of bikes are welcomed!
