Arthur Kaganovitch receives the plaudits from Club Legend Clive Fredman

Arthur Kaganovitch is the Singles Champion after winning his first Maccabi Tennis Club and Victorian Jewish Tennis Championships title.  Kaganovitch, a finalist in the previous year two years, triumphed over Jamie Muscatel in the final, 6-3 6-0.

In the Men's B Singles final, for players in Grades 7 and below, Geoff Rosenberger came back from a set down to defeat teammate Marcus Frajman, 6-7 6-0 6-3.

In the Men's Doubles final, brothers Saul and Jamie Muscatel were too strong for father-son combination Ron and Zvi Schweitzer, winning 6-1 6-1.

Reflecting on the Championships, Tournament Director Joel Rabinov noted that there were first time winners in the Men's Singles and Men's Doubles events.

"With sunny conditions to start and conclude the tournament, it gave opportunity for players to participate and play those that they generally wouldn't be able to play against," remarked Rabinov.

The Club Championships is open to all Jewish tennis players, including Maccabi Tennis Club members.  The junior events will be held in December 2018.
