The Section 8 Maccabi team, captained by Adam Rapoport, have enjoyed a nailbiting win over rivals Lauriston in the Grand Final, prevailing 4 rubbers to 2 (4-5-49 to 2-4-41). Rapoport and teammates David KenleyAlan DattJack EydlishJack StockRoman Maevsky and Jarrod Kenley displayed great team spirit throughout the season, coping well with injuries to key players to ensure that they delivered on their immense talent.

In the other Grand Final, the post-match feeling was drastically different. The Section 10 team of Robert SchattnerPaul KovacsPaul KoltunDavid SchattnerMichael Voyler and Jordan Davis fell agonisingly short, losing on sets (3-4-49 to 3-5-44). Playing against a strong Melbourne University side, both teams won three rubbers and despite Maccabi winning more games, their inferior differential on sets gave victory to the opposition.  Kovacs and Koltun were unable to win the critical third set tiebreak in the doubles rubber, which decided the Grand Final.
