Our Mission Statement
Maccabi AJAX Swimming Club encourages swimming at all levels by supporting and guiding its members to enjoy their sport and maximise their potential.
The Club provides opportunities for members to meet, socialise and swim with other Maccabi members locally, nationally and internationally, also serving to strengthen Jewish identity through Maccabi participation. Maccabi AJAX Swimming Club promotes the philosophy of 'sport for life.'
Maccabi Ajax Swimming Club was established over 80 years ago, and is the peak body for Jewish swimming in the State. We are affiliated with other Maccabi swimming clubs around the country including Sydney East, Sydney North, and Perth. We also enjoy a relationship with the other Swimming Victoria and Aussi Masters swimming.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Maccabi Ajax generates its revenue through sponsorships, membership and events. Income and funding is re-invested back into the sport for development squads, participation in events such as Maccabiah and the Pan Am Games as well as interstate competitions.
We are administered by active volunteers who give their time to assist with the development of programs and hosting of events.

Many swimmers find an in-direct benefit form swimming. They develop life skills such as sportsmanship, time-management, self-discipline, goal-setting, and an increased sense of self-worth through their participation in the sport.
Maccabi AJAX Swimming Club has a strong membership base with which it retains regular contact through monthly newsletters. The Club actively supports junior open and masters swimming programs.
