New Kits have arrived
The new kits arrived last week and have been distributed to most of the members. If you have not yet collected yours, please contact Adam at

We had a fantastic turnout last Saturday with everyone decked out in their new kits and the Maccabi peloton looked great. We are currently trialling 2 groups on Saturday mornings. 7am sees the 28-32kmh group depart Elwood and a faster 32 - 35kmh group departs at 7:10. Both groups were photographed last Saturday and everyone not only looked great but we had a great ride. And both groups meet up afterwards for coffee together in Elwood. Come join us before the beautiful Summer mornings depart.

Our Facebook page has been up and running since late last year and is a great way to find someone to join you for a ride. Visit the page to join in. Many of our members use a cycling computer to collect data during their rides.

Most of our riders are collecting GPS data, typically with a Garmin cycling computer. After a ride, the data can then be uploaded to your computer for personal analysis or uploaded to various websites. Some of us have begun using We have setup a MCC club on Strava for all of our members to use. All you need to do is sign up for Strava (free of charge), then join the club, upload your data, and presto we can all see each other's information. You may be surprised to compare your performance to others in the club as well as other Strava users. Visit to check it out & sign up. This is not for competitive or any other reasons, but just to compare and share information. Contact Nick at for more details about Strava.

The Juniors program for Term 1 has begun with a great bunch of kids. See the pic of the bunch taken at the first training night. We have secured the services of a fantastic cycling coach. His name is Rob Crowe of Ridewiser. One of Rob's great achievements include being a dual Olympian! He has worn the Aussie National champ's green & gold Jersey for both road and time trial, and held the World 4,000m tandem pursuit record. Contact Nick at for more details about the juniors program.

See you on the road and remember to ride safe ....
