The 11th Lawn Bowls Carnival was held at the Yokine Bowling Club. From 26th December - 1st January 2012. It was very ably organised and run by the committee of the newly incorporated Maccabi WA Lawn Bowls Inc. under the leadership of President Neville Friedman.
The carnival was opened by the Presidents of Bowls Australia and of Bowls WA with the lighting of the Warren Zines Memorial Light and the bowling of the first jack and bowl by them.

With perfect weather conditions and near perfect greens the 55 bowlers from NSW, Vic. SA and WA commenced the first round of fours. Victoria men, skipped by Alan Faigen with Les Gerber, Michael Brown and Joe Aarons started well with a hard fought win over a WA team whilst one of the fancied contenders NSW (A) struggled against WA’s team lead by Judy Freedman losing on the last two ends.

The format of pairs and fours was well accepted seeing many close battles, and the addition of twilight games in lieu of late afternoon games produced some great bowling. David Burstin played with the composite team and Sue Aarons played with the NSW ladies.

All participants were unanimous in their praise of the running of the carnival particularly the sponsored lunches, the evening bar-b-ques and the wonderful New Years Eve celebrations hosted by the Freedman Family.

The final results were:
Men’s Pairs – Gold WA (A), Silver Vic. (A) Alan Faigen, Les Gerber, Bronze NSW (B).
Men’s Fours – Gold Vic. A. Faigen, L.Gerber, M.Brown, J.Aarons. Silver WA (A), Bronze NSW (A).
Victoria and WA tied for the Men’s Carnival Shield.
Ladies Pairs- Gold NSW (B), Silver NSW (A) Sue Aarons, D.Orbach, Bronze WA (A).
Ladies Fours – Gold NSW D.Orbach, R.Saidman, R.Rosenberg, S.Aarons. Silver WA (E) Bronze WA (F).
NSW won the Ladies Carnival Shield.
Warren Zines Mench award: Erica Edelman (WA).
Jack Brandon Personality award: Karen Lewy (WA).
Zara Lewis Queen of Carnival: Rayna Rosenberg (NSW).
Ruben Steinberg award: Les Gerber (Vic.)
