The Maccabi AJAX Cricket Club is pleased to confirm that Paul Jubber will be the club’s Training Coordinator and Manager for the 2011/12 season.

Paul is currently the Director of Sport at Melbourne Grammar and comes to MACC with tremendous cricketing experience having played 1st XI cricket at Melbourne Cricket Club.

In recent years he has worked off-field at Melbourne CC in a variety of roles including Development Coach and most recently as an Assistant Coach. Paul has also worked with the Victorian Bushrangers under-23 and under-18 junior development squads.

Paul’s focus at MACC will be to deliver innovative training methods to ensure players get the most out of their mid-week practise as the Club make the bold decision to move to once a week compulsory training on a Wednesday night beginning on October 5th.

Commenting on the recent appointment MACC President Leon Jacobs said “I am delighted Paul will be joining MACC and look forward to his refreshing new approach to training.

"It has been the committee’s priority to revitalise training so that all players learn, improve and refine their skills to maximise match day performance."

The appointment of Paul Jubber is another exciting initiative at the Club for the 2011/12 season. With the opening of the Club’s new nets on 9th October, a new electronic scoreboard and the refurbishment of the David Mandie Pavilion there is a lot to look forward to.

The Club will again be fielding four senior teams including a Sunday team.

New players interested in playing should contact the club at or on 0402 006 688 for more information.
