The second week of the Victorian Track and Field championships proved a challenge for club members – Piper Montag placed fourth in the under 18 women’s shot put – but due to illness/injury/fatigue others struggled to achieve their best performances.

Noa Kino, the 14 year old granddaughter of Brian and Nita Kino – great past club administrators (and in Nita’s case, outstanding athlete), placed 3rd in the under 15 high jump with an impressive leap of 1.55m.

Great to see John Gould (ex club President and athlete) return to club training on the weekend to train for javelin and hurdles – as he has entered the Victorian Masters Championships to be held in 2 weeks time joining club Life Member Myer Vorchheimer in the competition.

Training this week;

Tuesday 14th March 2017 – 6pm at Caulfield Park with Braham.

Sunday 19th March 2017 , morning: Long run. Location: tbc.

Sunday 19th March 2017 -  Duncan MacKinnon with Alwyn at 4.30pm
