Another highlight of the AGM was the presentation by Caulfield Park Community Bank Branch Manager, Hanna Shuvaly and Deputy Chairman, Kate Ashmor

of a $400 cheque from the 2013-2014 grants programme, based on the volume of business Maccabi Victoria’s members and supporters did with the Branch during this time. Thank you.

Following the President’s and Treasurer’s Reports, we farewelled two of our Board Members, Karl David and Simon Feldman, both of whom have made a significant impact on the Board.

President, Joe Dorfman, Vice President, Tony Aarons and Secretary Sharon Hamilton, were all voted in for another term on the Board, and Board Members Glen Kanevsky (Treasurer), Janine Baum, BrianSwersky and Mark Waters remain on the Board for the second half of their terms.

We are delighted that our Honorary Solicitor, Michael Sharp, and Auditor, Hilton Miller have both agreed to continue on for another year in their roles.  Special mention to Michael Sharp who is now heading into his 30th year as Honorary Solicitor of Maccabi Victoria – an incredible contribution – we thank you Michael.

After further reports from Russell Jaffe (MVSF), Philip Sheezel (Member Protection Policy), Lisa Borowick (MAI) and Justin Lipson (Junior Carnival Organising Committee), a few items of General Business, and a heartfelt thank you from Joe to our valued Sponsors – Antler Luggage (major sponsor) and Lowe Lippmann, and to all the dedicated volunteers who run our Clubs and organisation, the 2014 AGM was over for another year.

All there was left to do was much mingling over a mandatory MacVic AGM supper.
