2. Winter Pennant Finals Update

Last weekend saw three Maccabi tennis teams playing in semi finals. All three teams were competitive but only one was able to walk away with the spoils of victory.

The Club's top team, led by captain and Club Head Coach Asaf Nagar, earned a memorable victory. Having earned their top 4 spot in the final round of the home-and-away season and qualifying for finals on percentage, the Grade 3 Maccabi team were in for a challenging afternoon, playing away to the top team, Bundoora. However, a fantastic team effort, rounded off by displays of individual brilliance, ensured Maccabi registered a dramatic, surprise victory. All six players involved in this final contributed to hand Maccabi a slender victory, but one of the finest in the Club's recent history.

Their next match will be this weekend (August 16 1230pm) with more details to follow.
