Corporate Sponsors and Technology – the New Order

Posted: 23-Sep-2013 by Maccabi VIC

The past week has been very exciting for Maccabi Victoria as we unveiled our new smartphone app and announced our new major sponsor – Antler Luggage. It is no coincidence that the launch of the app and the announcement of our new major sponsor occurred at the same time. The biggest challenge we have always faced as a roof body organisation, is how we can provide our corporate sponsors with value and a return on their sponsorship dollars. There are always the traditional methods of logos on jumpers, newsletters, websites as well as signage at events. We value the support of any sponsorship to Maccabi Victoria and endeavour to deliver the exposure and return on investment that such a generous level of support deserves. But it is now time to take stock and consider what more can we offer our sponsors.

I firmly believe that it is time for all levels of the Maccabi movement to look outside the square as to how they can provide value to their sponsors.

It is with this in mind that the Maccabi Victoria Board decided to proceed with the development of its smartphone app. The Board is conscious that we are the largest Jewish Community organisation in Victoria and unique as we connect with all the generations of our community. We identified that we need to be at the cutting edge of technology. The smartphone app will include all of our clubs and bring the activities, achievements and highlights of their members to everyone’s smartphone or tablet. Over the next few months, all our clubs will be live on the app and anyone who has a connection with a Maccabi club and Maccabi Victoria, whether as a player, (past or present) parent, family relative, supporter, administrator, will be able to find news, results, photos, videos, teams and much more on their phones updated daily.

The app will provide Maccabi Victoria and all our clubs with a unique opportunity to offer corporate sponsors with a forum to connect with the community and enhance the exposure of their brand and products. For Sonney Roth, Managing Director of Antler Luggage, the new App was innovative and he recognised that the app will bring everyone closer together under the one body. Sonney added that he was pleased to be able to support all Jewish Sporting Clubs in the State. Sonney has been involved with the AJAX Football Club for almost his whole life and felt that it is fantastic to have the opportunity to broaden their alliance to include all other Maccabi affiliates and provide benefits to all associated with the organisation.

We are delighted to have the Antler Luggage brand associated with Maccabi Victoria and look forward to a long and positive relationship.

I encourage all our community to download the Maccabi Victoria app now and strengthen your connection with Maccabi and its members.
