Role of the Manager

Every team within the club needs a parent to act as manager. The manager is the person responsible to the club, to the players and parents of that team for the successful running of the team.

A team will not be registered for competition with the FFV unless there is a parent prepared to act as manager.

The duties of the manager include the following:

  • Complete a Working With Children check
  • Circulate team lists to parents.
  • Circulate the game fixtures.
  • Assist the coach during training and the match if required and ensure appropriate discipline is maintained.
  • Advise the Club Results Officer of the results for the FFV .
  • In conjunction with the coach, select special Trophy winners.
  • For sub-junior teams, ensure that there is a parent referee for all home games.
  • Follow-up on players who are injured or miss training.
  • Select and print online teams and submit scores.
