Weekly Scoreboard and News 19 April

Posted: 19-Apr-2016 by Maccabi Hockey Club

Hi all,

This is the first of what will be a weekly newsletter containing results from the weekend's games, fixtures for the coming weeks and any other news from the club.

The Masters 35+ team started their 2016 season on Monday night following a promotion to B Grade this year.  First up was a road trip to Geelong.  The difference in grading was obvious from the start with the game played at a quicker pace and higher skill level than last year.  While the final result was a 4-2 loss, there was certainly some good build ups by MHC and goals to Damien Suss and Gary Beville had the teams even part way through the second half.  Overall, it was good to dust off the cobwebs and play in a division that should prove challenging and enjoyable.
