Charley's Great Carnival Adventure!

Posted: 02-Feb-2016 by All Abilities

Junior Carnival is a week-long sporting event that also incorporates exciting social activities for youth aged 12-16, from across Australia and New Zealand. It is, and has been, for the past thirty years, an integral part of the Jewish sporting calendar.

The 34th Maccabi Junior Carnival recently took place in Sydney, and we were very excited to be able to have one of our All Abilities members participating in the event. Charley participated in the Melbourne Carnival in 2015, but this was the first time we sent an All Abilities member to an interstate event.

Charley had the opportunity to participate in a range of events, including swimming, futsul and a Harbour Cruise, and is already talking about Perth Carnival in 2017!

We would like to thank all the people who helped make this happen, including the Victorian team management, the Carnival committee, Camp Sababa Melbourne and Friendship Circle Sydney.

From Charley and his mother (Toly):

Charley likes very much to be a part of the Junior Carnival in Sydney.

The activities Charley had and likes are: boat, canoeing, swimming, futsal (penalty shoot out) [and the] family where Charley was staying...

Now Charley is waiting for his next junior carnival in Perth in 2016 to enjoy from beginning to the end!!!

That is Charley's experience to be in Sydney!!

Thanks a lot for your support and care.
