Horsing Around with Maccabi All Abilities and Access Inc

Posted: 23-Jun-2015 by All Abilities

Despite a chilly start, the sun was shining on the inaugural Maccabi Victoria All Abilities/Access Inc horse riding day on Sunday June 14.

Ten members were given the opportunity to ride a horse and enjoy the scenic Daylesford historical railway. Even though the group ranged from regular riders to relative newbies, everyone mounted their horse with ease and rode like they had been in the saddle for years.

After a relaxed trail ride, we enjoyed a picnic lunch at the ranch, before wandering through the Sunday market and taking in the view from the heritage train on our return trip from Daylesford to Bullarto. After a quick pit-stop for hot chocolate, we made our way back to Melbourne (with everyone a lot quieter, after a jam-packed day!).

Due to the overwhelming success of the day, Maccabi Victoria All Abilities and Access are hoping to make horse riding a regular feature on our calendar.

"The horse riding was the best part...Thank you very much for organising a great day"
