Wishing our intern, Georgia Dyer, the best of luck as she moves onwards and upwards.

Posted: 19-Mar-2015 by All Abilities

We are very sad to be saying farewell to our lovely and extremely talented, dedicated and hardworking intern, Georgia Dyer. Georgia has been completing a 4-month internship with Maccabi Victoria All Abilities since December 2014, supporting our All Abilities Inclusion Coordinator Lauren Mandel.

Georgia came to us in December with an interest in "working within the sporting sector". She commenced her time at Maccabi Victoria after completing a Bachelor of Exercise and Health Sciene at the Australian Catholic University and completing work experience at ACU as an administration officer, research assistant at Netball Victoria and media assistant at the Regional University Games. She also has a community coach certificates for AFL and Hockey.

Georgia said she could "contribute to the success of the organisation through [her] previous experience and expertise within the industry". And she certainly lived up to this expectation! She came into the office every Thursday and worked alongside Lauren, following every direction and working consistently hard and autonomously.

We are so grateful for all of the behind-the-scenes work Georgia completed as well as her hands on assistance with the All Abilities group during the Junior Carnival. Georgia was invovled in completing many important tasks including regularly updating our Facebook, Website and Community Calendar. She has also played an integral role in the development of the Jewish Disabiltiy Service Guide, to be released in the next few months. Georgia also helped to complete several grants, with the aim of raising additional funds to support this program.

We wish Georgia all the best of luck in her future endevours.
