Member Protection

Maccabi's Member Protection Policies (MPP)

At Maccabi, we take our responsibility for creating a safe and inclusive environment seriously. The purpose of Maccabi's Member Protection Policies (MPP) is to create a safe, fair and inclusive environment and ensure that all participants are treated with respect and dignity. Maccabi values the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone involved and recognises the importance of protecting its members from unlawful discrimination, harassment, bullying and other inappropriate behaviours.

The MPP handbook outlines these policies and procedures as well as

  • members' respective rights and responsibilities when participating in any activity run by or associated with Maccabi
  • expected standards of behaviour
  • grievance processes, if you believe one of those standards has not been met.

Who does it apply to?

All Participants involved with Maccabi are expected and required to comply with the standards of behaviour set out in the MPP.

“Participants” means all paid or unpaid/voluntary:

  • office bearers;
  • individuals appointed or elected to boards, commissions, tribunals, committees and sub-committees, employees and volunteers;
  • players and athletes;
  • members including Life Members;
