It doesn’t get better than this.

Australia’s Pan-American Games swim team have completed an amazing feat after a simply remarkable day in the pool. Wednesday saw the squad net NINE medals as back-to-back 4x200m relay successes put the finishing touches on a glorious session – meaning that every member of the squad will return home with a medal!

The girls team, comprising Gia Berman, Asia Carp, Jade Berson and Halli Klinger, stormed home to dramatically pip hosts Mexico and land a silver medal.

Next up was the boys, featuring Zak Levine, Ben Potash, Noah Abeshouse and Noam Antonir, who were hunting a golden moment after finishing runners-up a day earlier in the 4x100m freestyle. And it came in style, as they finally got the better of the US to stand atop the podium.

Every member of the swim squad has now won a medal!

The dual achievements crowned a sublime day for the Aussies, who enjoyed a phenomenal medal rush.

Berson kicked off the festivities by nabbing her third individual medal of the Games, a bronze in the 200m individual medley. The sprinters then took the limelight as the likes of Gabi (Silver, 50m Freestyle) and Daniella Goodridge (Silver, 50m freestyle), as well as Barry Carp (Gold, 50m Freestyle and Breaststroke) got in on the act for third day running.

There was a special moment for Klinger, as she brought home her first individual medal of the meet – a silver in the 50m breaststroke. Meanwhile, Levine continued his strong start to international competition by grabbing a silver of his own in the 50m freestyle.

Overall, it was a truly outstanding day in the pool, where Australia has now nabbed a ridiculous 22 medals across just three days of competition. With the final day of competition tomorrow, that tally could rise even further.

What a performance in the pool!
