How to follow Team Aus at the Pan-Am Games

After months of preparation, Team Australia are finally ready to take flight for the Maccabi Pan-American Games in Mexico!

Our biggest-ever contingent will wear the green and gold across 11 sports as they represent our Jewish community with pride.

And through the power of social media, you can follow their journey every step of the way!

With team journalist Jake Rosengarten and photographers Julie Kerbel and Toni Platus on the ground, we’ll ensure you don’t miss a minute of the action.

NEWS, FEATURES AND MATCH REPORTS

A huge variety of written content can be found on the Maccabi Australia Website.

In the lead up to the Games, a preview piece has been published on each individual Aussie sports contingent, as well as a number of standalone feature articles. As the games begin, the 2019 Pan-American Games section will become populated by match reports, updates and articles showing off the best Team Aus has to offer.

LIVE STREAMS

The biggest events deserve a broadcast back home and via the magic of Facebook Live we'll bring you all the action direct to the small screen.

Check the Maccabi Australia Facebook feed regularly for details of which matches will be streamed for your viewing pleasure – internet speed permitting.

Some events will also be streamed live on the official app of the Pan-American Games which iPhone users can download HERE.

MEET THE MEDIA TEAM

Media Manager: Jake Rosengarten

After covering the 2017 Maccabiah Games as a junior journalist, Jake makes the step up as media manager for the 2019 Pan-American Games. Still just 24, he boasts experience as Maccabi NSW’s newsletter editor, has covered multiple Junior Carnivals, spent 18 months as a full-time journalist for Fox Sports Australia and currently works as a journalist for Optus Sport. Jake is looking forward to bringing you the best written and social content from Mexico as he covers Team Aus’ journey every step of the way.

Team photographer Julie Kerbel, has run her own photography business, Julie K Photography, for 11 years.  She was a member of the Maccabiah Games media team in Israel in 2017 and is an experienced photographer who has won awards for her work at both a state and national level.  She was recently named as the 2019 AIPP Western Australian Travel Professional Photographer of the Year and was a runner up in the Documentary category.  She specialises in sport and documentary style photography and is so looking forward to being a part of the Australian team again.
