What are Maccabi's Policies


Below is a brief summary of each of the policies (OTHER THAN CHILD SAFETY AND DISABILITY & INCLUSION).

Sexual Relationship Policy

This policy works towards ensuring equality of relationship among consenting adults. It sets out Maccabi’s stance when an inequality of power exists.

Anti-discrimination and Harassment Policy

Maccabi’s objective is to have an environment that is free of unlawful discrimination and harassment, including (without limitation) harassment and discrimination based on:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Marital Status
  • Sex or Gender
  • Political Belief
  • Pregnancy or Breast feeding
  • Race

Anti- Bullying Policy

This defines bullying and cyber bullying. It states Maccabi’s requirements that participants not engage in this conduct.

Social Networking and Website Policy

Social networking refers to any interactive website or technology that enables persons to communicate and/or share content via the internet. This includes Facebook and Twitter.

Maccabi requires anyone involved in Maccabi to be diligent in the use of online technology and to conduct themselves appropriately when using social media networking sites to share information related to Maccabi and its sporting community.

Drug and Anti -Doping Policy

The policy protects athletes’ fundamental rights to participate in doping-free sport and thus promote health, fairness and equality.

Alcohol and Smoking Policy

This policy provides for the responsible use and consumption of alcohol and for smoke-free environments at Maccabi events.

Pregnancy Policy

This policy aims to ensure those who are pregnant are not unreasonably discriminated against.

Gender Identity Policy

Maccabi expects participants to treat people who identify as transgender fairly and with dignity and respect.
