About our Duathlons

Our duathlon races are held at Heffron Park (with the start/finish line adjacent to the end of the parking lot).   See Event to Diarise for dates.

There normally will be 4 distances on offer:

  • a  Sprint distance of 2.5km (1 laps) run, 20km (10 laps) cycle, 5km (2 laps) run 
  • a Enticer (Long) distance of 1.5km (2 * 750m) run, 12km ( 6 laps) cycle and 3 km (4 * 750m lap) run
  • a Enticer (Middle) distance - 1km (2 * 500m) run, 8k (4 laps) cycle and 2k (4 * 500m) run
  • a Enticer (Shorter) distance - 500m (2 * 250m) run, 4k (2 laps) cycle and 1k (4 * 250m) run

On the Club Championships we also run the event over a Standard Distance of 5km run (2 laps), 40km (20 laps) and 10km run (4 laps);

Note- a full race briefing will be provided before the race. For those who have not raced the course before, there will be an opportunity to cycle one lap before the race to familiarise yourself with the lay out of the bike course.

Competitors can compete individually, or as part of a team, eg one member of the team can do the two run legs and the other can do the bike leg.

Seniors – registration opens at 7:00am for a 7:30am (sharp!!) start. Normally standard (champs only), sprint and enticer (long) distance are offered.

Juniors - to start at about 7:45am, about 15 mins after the adult. All enticer distances are offered.  Distances are not age related.

The transition/registration area is at the end of the car park, adjacent to the bike track.

Race fees

$10 for senior members
$40 for senior non-members
$5 for junior members
$10 for junior non-members

If you have not paid your membership fees you will be required to pay non-member fee.
