Results and report from triathlon held 6th November 2016

Report from Sunday 6th November 2016

by Alan Kaplan and Deb Shapira

Another good turnout has seen a competitive race despite a few spills and thrills
With some of the big guns away it was the evergreen Alan Kaplan winning the race from an improving runner turned triathlete Jonathan Nesher wo ran through the field. They were followed by Rabbi Krebs and the improving stalwart Julian Rifkin.
It was good to see new faces and the momentum is building for some great turnouts in the next few.

There were only 2 juniors with Amber Rose making her first appearance. she had a fast swim but had a little fall off her bike, but she got back on and went for a run afterwards. Well done Amber. Zac Madeisky turned in a strong performance.

The womens race was contested by newcomer Nicole Redelman and Laura Madeisky.Laura took out the honours as Nicole was unable to complete the run following a fall. However, she promises to be back!

Special mention to Alan Lindenberg who completed the event despite having to fix a puncture duirng the bike leg.

Deb Shapira did a time trial in between showing the bike route and time keeping. Her dog, Maisie, did admirable duty looking after the transiton area.
