Western Sydney Half Iron Man Results

Posted: 27-Nov-2019 by Triathlon And Cycle Club

Maccabi Triathlon club had 3 participants compete at Sydney’s largest 70.3 triathlon.

Club president Alan Kaplan competing in his 6th in a row Western Sydney event managed an incredible 8th place with a time of exactly 5 hours. This was despite nursing a hamstring injury, which certainly hampered his ability to push hard.

Despite the injury he managed to ride at an average of 34km/hr for 90km and run well under 5min/km for the 21.1 km run.

Craig Berson has only been competing in triathlon for 2 years and came 35th in a very competitive age group. His improvement however has been very impressive where he beat his previous time by 40 minutes and managed to complete the cycle in 37km/hr. His overall time was also 5 hours, which for only his second 70.3 is excellent.

Evergreen Stephen Brown managed to finish the event in the 60-64 year old category.
