What is All Abilities?

The All Abilities Program is focused on providing more sporting & recreational opportunities for people living with a disability.

We believe we can play an important role in helping many people in our community by offering more opportunities to engage in sporting activities.

Thanks to the JCA, we have been able to broaden the program aims in 2017, as we build the program foundations, with a view to creating a fully functional & sustainable program.

All Abilities activities will vary in sport and format for participation & will have a broad mix of participants. We will work with various Maccabi clubs (across different sports) to provide a range of activities to be enjoyed.

Inclusion is our ultimate goal - we want to broaden the awareness  of inclusion across the organisation and help make Maccabi more inclusive for people with a disability.

The types of activities that will be offerred will vary - from participants joining mainstream activities and sessions to potentially offering stand-alone teams/activities also. Additioanlly, we aim to provide non-playing opportunties for individuals who want to be involved; such as being involved in club committees, assisting in team management and/or officiating, such as time / score keeping for sports games.

The All Abilities Coordinator in Maccabi NSW is Daliah Szwarc, you can reach her on: nswaa@maccabi.com.au
