Maccabi LIFE - Dementia Walk a Huge Success

Posted: 30-Apr-2019 by Maccabi NSW

Last Sunday's first Maccabi LIFE-Dementia Australia Memory Walk-Fun Run was a fantastic event attended by 150 people, on a beautiful Sunday morning with the sun shining on Centennial Park.

Maccabi LIFE is a new initiative, focused on promoting a healthy & active lifestyle to the Jewish community.

Maccabi partnered with Dementia Australia to hold this event, to raise funds to help the fight against Dementia, and to promote healthy living for Maccabi supporters & members.

Thanks to Olympian Steve Solomon, who was our event ambassador and took the crowd through a brief warm-up session prior to starting the fun run.

All up, nearly $9,000 has been raised, which will go to Dementia Australia and partly also towards Maccabi LIFE programs.

Donations are still open, if you'd like to support - CLICK HERE for the event page for final donations.

Thanks to all who took part in this great event and for helping to make a difference for a great cause. Thanks also to the many volunteers who helped to make this event happen!
