Maccabi MegaCamp is back!

Posted: 19-Apr-2018 by Maccabi NSW

This week's MegaCamp really lived up to its name! With over 30 kids each day, it was a fantastic opportunity to make new friends who share a common interest in sport!

There were excellent coaching clinics in the morning for netball, soccer and basketball and awesome activities for the kids in the afternoon.

Camp kicked off on Monday with an interactive Krav Maga class with reflex training and learning how to react to different distractions. This was a great way for the kids to learn the simple foundations of self-defence training.

One of the highlights of camp was Tuesday's Laser Tag where the kids were able to battle it out in the army-style field! We played both team skirmishes and elimination rounds with the kids having plenty of attempts to master their laser tagging strategies.

Wednesday's Mini-Olympics was also extremely popular! The kids tested their relay skills, discus and shot put throwing as well as more abstract events like the egg and spoon race and turbo javelin.

Thank you to everyone that attended camp and for making it an unforgettable experience!

The next MegaCamp will be run in the September-October school holidays.
