Maccabi Leadership Program’s inaugural class begin their journeys

Posted: 05-Apr-2017 by Maccabi NSW

The first ever participants of the Maccabi Leadership Program began their journeys this week as they engaged in the first of six sessions which will be held between now and December.

Our inaugural cohort consists of five outstanding young leaders from various backgrounds in our community. Each has been paired up with a relevant Maccabi club and will now undergo a skilling up process which will help them to understand and apply relevant principles in running a sports club.

The chosen participants are:

  • Isabelle Simantov – Maccabi Netball Club
  • Rachel Jablonka – Maccabi Swimming Club
  • Justin Malek – Maccabi Hakoah Junior Football Club
  • Jordana Weiner – Maccabi Touch Football Club
  • Robyn Katz – Maccabi NSW Board

These five young Maccabi leaders underwent their first session in the newly created program on Sunday March 26 as Judith Max from Mirato Coaching addressed the participants on how they can best make an impact at their respective clubs over the next 9 months.

Program co-ordinator David Cohen believes the program’s inception offers a different opportunity to the young people of our community.

“The launch of this program highlights the importance of training up our talented young leaders within our clubs to help take our clubs forward,” Cohen said.

Participants will take part in sessions on a wide range of topics over the next 9 months as they strive to be useful members of their club’s boards in the future.
