The NSW v VIC 90th Anniversary Masters Basketball Tournament was held in Sydney on the weekend of 17th and 18th October 2015.  The general comment from everybody participating was how great it was to revitalise this terrific rivalry between NSW and VIC.  So many friendships were made during the original carnivals and the Masters tournament brought back all the memories and the friendships.

NSW fielded 3 teams – 1xO33 Team and 2xO43 teams NSW(Aust) and NSW (Int).
On Saturday night NSW(Aust) O43 defeated VIC O43 44-37 in a hard fought match that was close for three quarters. Sharp shooting from Brad Rosen (12) and Greg Shapiro (10) for NSW offset David Lipperman (17) for VIC.

The O33(47) were defeated by VIC(62) in a hard fought, very physical game. No quarter given by either side with the difference coming for VIC with Jeff Devril hitting 3 pointers at will.

On Sunday morning the tournament continued with some very sore and battered bodies.

NSW(Int) O43 went down to VIC O43 48-62 with Ofir Marco and Izhar Ronen leading for NSW but VIC just too strong on the morning.

NSW O33 v VIC O33 played again in the 2 game series going down 38-59 with Daniel Kresner high scoring for NSW with 11 but VIC’s Jeff Devril high scoring fro VIC with 21.

NSW(Aust) O43 v NSW(Int) O43 closed the tournament with NSW(Aust) O43 defeating NSW(Int) O43 72-62 with Ed Ginsberg scoring 24 points after backing up from playing with the O33.  They weren’t able to stop Greg Shapiro high scoring with 27 and Brad Rosen with 19 points.
