North of the bridge, the strongest performances were confined to the all age ranks, with the 2nd division squad easing to the 3 points over Lindfield in firsts,  and playing out a tight goalless draw in the reserves fixture. Playing on the slick artificial surface at Charles Bean, the squad’s pass and move style under manager Andy Tooch came to the fore.

On Sunday, the 4th division squad produced their second successive weekend of fine results, winning both reserves and firsts, 4-3 and 2-0 respectively. Reserves survived a second half fight back from Hornsby RSL after leading 4-0 at the break, while firsts eased to their first clean sheet of the season and a deserved victory.

The Over 45s continued on their winning ways with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Northbridge ahead of their top of the table clash with Gordon next weekend.

The other result of note was from our mighty under 6’s who produced another score line more akin to basketball. The squad is showing exceptional promise and will enjoy the challenge of a higher division over the coming months.
