Maccabi Hakaoh Futsal Launches Season 2011/12

Posted: 25-Jul-2011 by Futsal

This has been an historic year for the Maccabi Hakoah Futsal Club with the club experiencing great successes internationally, nationally, and locally. In 2011 the Mens All Age team achieved the following

1. NSW Super League Minor Premiers
2. NSW Super League Final Series Runners Up
3. NZ National League - Champions
4. European Maccabi games - Champions
5. Australia F League Champions

With a new full size venue for home games and a strong recruitment drive through the winter, The Maccabi Hakoah futsal club will be turning their attention to the development of the junior age groups as well as the women’s teams within the club. Building the strength of the club across these sectors and within the futsal community will be a major priority this year. Australian and MHFC Men’s coach Steve Knight and head coach Gareth Naar are implementing a total futsal junior development program to ensure juniors in the club get the best training possible to develop the technical, tactical and physical aspects of their game.

Head Coach Gareth Naar is extremely excited about the new season and says ”It is Maccabi Hakoah Futsal’s policy to develop players and give them access to greater representation in the sport of Futsal, and we knew that to do that we had to build a strong Mens team which our juniors can aspire to representing. The last 2 years has been hard work for our Men and they have reaped the benefits, and it is now time to focus on our juniors to build for the future”.

To be held at Rose Bay Secondary College on the 6th and 7th of August
